Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains what information Find Roofing Contractor (FindRoofingContractor.com, "we", "us") collects when you visit this site or call a number shown on it, how we use it and who we share it with. We connect homeowners with independent roof replacement contractors by phone; this site has no forms.

Information we collect

When you call

  • Your phone number (caller ID), the date, time and length of the call, and the number you dialed.
  • Your approximate location, such as your state and ZIP code, based on your phone number or on what you provide during the call.
  • The page you called from and the advertising campaign that brought you to it, if any.
  • Information you provide during the call, in answers to automated prompts or in your conversation with the contractor, such as your ZIP code and details about your roof and home.
  • A recording of the call.

When you visit the site

  • Standard technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you view.
  • Advertising and campaign identifiers in the page address, such as the Google click identifier (gclid) and UTM parameters, used to link a call to the ad that led to it.

This data is collected through cookies and similar technologies from Google Analytics, Google Ads and our call-tracking provider, which shows a tracking phone number on the page. We do not ask for payment information, and we do not collect information through forms.

Call recording

Calls to numbers on this site may be recorded for quality assurance, billing, dispute resolution and fraud prevention. You will hear a notice that the call may be recorded before you are connected to a contractor. Some states, including Connecticut, Maryland and Massachusetts, require the consent of everyone on a call before it is recorded. By staying on the line after the notice you agree to the recording; if you do not agree, please hang up before you are connected. Call networks and contractors may also record calls under their own policies.

How we use information

  • To route your call to an available independent contractor who serves your area.
  • To confirm, bill and resolve disputes about connected calls with our partners.
  • To measure and improve our advertising, including reporting which ads led to calls.
  • To maintain quality, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the service secure.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Who we share information with

  • Call-tracking and telephony providers, such as Ringba, that route, record and report on calls for us.
  • Pay-per-call networks, such as MarketCall, and the independent contractors and partner networks that receive calls through them. They receive your phone number, approximate location and call details so they can respond to your roof replacement request and confirm the call, and they may contact you about that request.
  • Advertising and analytics providers, such as Google, for ad measurement and site analytics.
  • Service providers that host and operate this site on our behalf.
  • Authorities or other parties when required by law or to protect our rights and users.
  • A successor, if this service is transferred to another operator, subject to this policy.

We are compensated by partners when calls are connected. Depending on the state you live in, sharing information this way may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. See Your choices and rights below.

Phone calls and text messages

We only receive calls that you place. We do not place marketing calls to you or send you text messages without your separate prior express consent. A contractor you were connected with may call you back about the request you made during your call.

Cookies and advertising choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and manage personalized ads from Google in your Google ad settings.

How long we keep information

We keep call records and recordings for as long as needed for the purposes above, including billing and dispute resolution with partners, and as required by law. We then delete or anonymize them. Information held by call networks and contractors is kept under their own policies.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of its sale, sharing or use for targeted advertising.

To make a request, email privacy@findroofingcontractor.com. Include the phone number you called from and the approximate date of your call so we can find the related records. You may also ask an authorized agent to make a request for you. We will verify your request, respond within the time required by applicable law, and will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our response.

Information that a contractor received during your call is held by that contractor; you can also contact the contractor directly about it.

Children

This site is intended for adult homeowners and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed.
